Player's Guide: How to Use Golfify

Golfify is a golf event app that handles scoring, leaderboards, and stats — all from your phone. If someone has invited you to a Golfify event, this guide walks you through everything you need to get started: downloading the app, finding your event, entering scores, and viewing the leaderboard.

Download and Create Your Account​

  1. Download Golfify from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

  2. Open the app and create an account using your email address.

  3. Complete your profile — add your name and handicap so your host can identify you.

tip

Use the same email address your host used when they invited you. If you sign up with a different email, the invitation won't appear on your home screen.

Find and Join Your Event​

Your host will invite you to their event in one of a few ways. How you join depends on how the invitation arrives.

If your host sends you a link (through WhatsApp, iMessage, email, or similar), tap the link. If you have Golfify installed, the event opens automatically in the app.

Join with an Event Code​

If your host gives you an event code:

  1. Tap the + button at the bottom of the home screen.

  2. Tap Find Event.

  3. Enter the code your host gave you and tap Find Event to open it.

Join with an Access Code​

If your host gives you an access code (different from an event code — these are often used for private or paid events):

  1. Tap the + button at the bottom of the home screen.

  2. Tap Enter Access Code.

  3. Enter the code and tap CLAIM.

Join from Your Home Screen​

If your host has already invited you, the event will appear in the Invitations section on your home screen. Tap the event card to open it, then tap ENTER to join.

Can't find your event?

Make sure you're signed in with the email address your host used for the invitation. If you still can't find it, ask your host to double-check your email or resend the invite.

Enter Your Scores​

Once you've joined and been assigned a tee slot, you can open your scorecard and start entering scores.

  1. From the event HOME tab, tap SCORECARD.

  2. Your scorecard shows a column for each player in your group. Tap a hole to enter the score.

  3. Enter scores for each hole as you play. You can enter scores for other players in your group too — this is the quickest way to keep things moving.

  4. When your round is finished, review your scores and tap Finish Scores to submit your card.

Once you submit your scorecard, you can't make changes yourself. If you spot an error after submitting, ask your host — they can reopen the card and correct it.

Secure Scoring​

Some events have Secure Scoring turned on. When this is enabled, each player can only enter their own scores — you won't be able to enter scores for others in your group.

Special Contests​

If the host has set up a special contest on a hole (like a long drive or closest-to-the-pin competition), you'll see it marked with a gold ring on that hole. Tap the player who won and select the contest to record it.

View the Leaderboard​

You can follow the live leaderboard at any time during or after the round.

  1. From the event screen, swipe left or tap the LEADERBOARD tab.

  2. The leaderboard updates in real time as scores are entered by players across the field.

You can also check the STATS tab to see stats like birdies, pars, and other achievements across the event.

View the Event Feed​

The FEED tab is a chat and activity stream for the event. Depending on what the host has enabled, you may see scoring alerts (like birdie notifications) and messages from other players.

Swipe to the FEED tab or tap it to check for updates.

Tips for a Smooth Round​

  • Make sure your phone is charged before you head out — scoring uses battery throughout the round
  • Enter scores as you play rather than waiting until the end, so the leaderboard stays up to date for everyone
  • If you lose mobile signal on the course, don't worry — Golfify saves your scores locally and syncs them when you're back online
