Quick Start Guide

Get your first golf event up and running in Golfify. This guide walks you through creating an event, adding players, setting up your tee sheet, and activating live scoring — everything you need to host your first competition.

Before you start

You'll need a Golfify account. If you haven't signed up yet, download the app from the App Store or Google Play and create an account — it takes less than a minute.

Create your event​

  1. From the Home Screen, tap the + button in the bottom-right corner.

  2. Choose Single Round Event. This is the easiest way to see how Golfify works. You can explore Multi-Round Events later.

  3. Select a setup method. For your first event, choose one of the Shortcut Templates — try Individual Stableford to get going quickly.

  4. Fill in your event details:

    • Event Name — give your competition a name.
    • Start Date and Time — when the event begins.
    • Number of Players — how many are playing. Events with 8 or fewer players are free with all features unlocked.

  5. Select your Facility and Course. Search for your club from the available list.

    If your course isn't available, contact us and we'll add it quickly.

  6. Tap Create. Your event is ready.

Add players​

  1. From your event, tap the group_add icon (quick action on the HOME tab), or go to Host Menu → Player Manager.

  2. Add players using one of these methods:

    • Direct Add — type a player's name and email to add them straight to the event.
    • Invite — send an email invitation. Players join by tapping the link in their email or through the app.
    • Buddies / Recent Players — if you've used Golfify before, quickly add players from your existing contacts.
    Running a larger event?

    You can upload a spreadsheet to add many players at once. See Bulk Upload Players for details.

Set up the tee sheet​

  1. Tap the TEE SHEET tab.

  2. Assign players to tee slots. Tap a slot, then select a player from the list.

  3. Alternatively, tap Auto Assign to randomly fill unassigned players into available slots. This is especially useful for larger events.

Activate and start scoring​

  1. Go back to your event's Home tab and tap Activate.

    Once activated, the event is live. Players who were added with an email address will see the event on their Home Screen in the Golfify app.

  2. Players open the event, find their group, and start entering scores on the Scorecard. Only one player per group needs to enter scores for everyone.

View the leaderboard​

  1. Swipe across from the Scorecard to see the Leaderboard. It updates in real time as scores come in.

  2. Swipe further to see Event Statistics, which build up as more holes are completed.

How it works​

Once your event is activated, Golfify handles the rest automatically. Scores entered by any player in a group appear on the leaderboard instantly. Every player in the event — whether they're scoring or spectating — sees the same live leaderboard and stats. You don't need to do anything else as the host during the round.

After the round, the final leaderboard and full statistics are saved to the event and available any time.
