Create Your First Event

Ready to host a round? Creating a single-round event in Golfify takes just a few taps. This guide walks you through the event creation screen so you know exactly what each option does before you hit Create.

Before you start

You'll need a Golfify account with a verified email address. If you haven't signed up yet, download the app from the App Store or Google Play and create an account.

Open the create sheet​

  1. From the Play tab (your home feed), tap the + button in the bottom-right corner.

  2. A sheet appears asking What would you like to do? — tap Single Round Event.

Choose a format​

  1. Pick a setup method. You can start from a Shortcut Template (like Individual Stableford or Team Better Ball) for a quick setup, or choose Custom to configure everything yourself.

    Templates pre-fill the scoring format, competition type, and other settings so you can get going faster. You can always change these later in Event Settings.

Fill in event details​

  1. Enter your event information:

    • Event Name — the title players will see on their home feed and leaderboard.
    • Start Date and Time — when the round begins.
    • Number of Players — the expected field size. Events with 8 or fewer players are free with all features unlocked.

Select your course​

  1. Tap the Facility and Course field and search for your golf club. Select the correct course and tee set from the results.

    Course not listed?

    If your course isn't in the database, contact support and we'll add it for you.

Create the event​

  1. Tap Create. Golfify builds your event and drops you on the event HOME tab, where you can start adding players and setting up your tee sheet.

How it works​

After you tap Create, your event exists but is not yet live. Players can't score until you Activate it. This gives you time to add players, organise the tee sheet, and fine-tune settings before the round begins.

To adjust format, scoring, handicaps, or other settings after creation, tap the gear icon → Host Menu → Event Settings.
