Add Event Sponsors

Give your event's supporters some visibility. Golfify lets you add sponsors with logos, descriptions, and links — they'll appear on the event home screen and cycle through a carousel at the top of the leaderboard for all players and spectators to see.

Here's a quick overview of setting up Event Sponsors in Golfify.

Add a sponsor​

  1. From your event, tap the gear icon to open the Host Menu.

  2. Tap Event Sponsors.

  3. Tap the + button to add a new sponsor.

  4. Fill in the sponsor details:

    • Sponsor Name — the name that appears in the app (e.g. "Acme Golf Supplies").
    • Sponsor Type — a label shown under the name. Choose from options like Event Sponsor, Main Sponsor, Secondary Sponsor, or enter a custom type (e.g. "Drink Sponsor").
    • URL — a web link to the sponsor's site. Players can tap through to visit it.
    • Description — a short note about the sponsor.

  5. Make sure the Show Sponsor toggle at the top is turned on.

  6. Tap Save.

A logo makes sponsor listings look professional. You can add one after saving the initial details.

  1. Open the sponsor you just created (tap it in the list).

  2. Tap Edit Image and select an image from your device.

  3. The logo appears on the sponsor card and in the leaderboard carousel.

Image recommendations

Sponsor logos should be square (1:1 ratio) and ideally 400×400 pixels. Keep backgrounds simple and file sizes small for fast loading on mobile. See Branding and Image Guidelines for more details.

Set sponsor priority​

If you have multiple sponsors, you can control how often each one appears in the leaderboard carousel using the Sponsor Weight field.

  1. Open a sponsor and scroll to Sponsor Weight.

  2. Set a number — the higher the weight, the more frequently the sponsor appears.

For example, if Sponsor A has a weight of 3 and Sponsor B has a weight of 1, Sponsor A appears three times as often as Sponsor B in the rotation.

Where sponsors appear​

Once you've added and activated sponsors, they show up in two places:

  • Event home screen — sponsor cards appear at the bottom of the screen with their logo, name, type, and link.
  • Leaderboard — sponsor logos rotate in a carousel at the top. Multiple sponsors cycle through based on their weight.

Players and spectators can tap a sponsor to view details and visit their website.

View sponsor analytics​

After the event, you can see how your sponsors performed.

  1. Open the sponsor from Host Menu → Event Sponsors.

  2. Tap the analytics tile below the sponsor details.

This gives you engagement data you can share with your sponsors after the event.

How it works​

Sponsors are managed per event — each event has its own list. You can add, edit, reorder, and remove sponsors at any time, even while the event is live. The Show Sponsor toggle lets you prepare a sponsor in advance and activate them when you're ready.

In multi-round events, sponsors are shared across all rounds and appear on the overall leaderboard.

If a sponsor's logo isn't appearing, check that Show Sponsor is toggled on and that the image was saved successfully. Try re-uploading if the image looks broken.
