Spectator Access

Want friends, family, or fans to follow along with your event? Golfify lets you share a public leaderboard link that anyone can open in a browser — no sign-in or app download required. Spectators see your leaderboard updating in real time as scores come in.

Share your event's leaderboard​

  1. From your event, tap the gear icon to open the Host Menu.

  2. Tap Share & Display.

  3. Find the Tournament Magic Link — this is your public leaderboard URL.

  4. Tap the link or the copy button to copy it to your clipboard.

  5. Share the link however you like — text message, email, WhatsApp, social media, or printed on a notice board at the club.

You can also share quickly by tapping the share icon in the event app bar (top-right corner of your event screen). This opens the standard share sheet on your device.

What spectators can see​

Anyone who opens the public leaderboard link sees:

  • Live leaderboard — player standings and scores updating in real time as the round progresses.
  • Player scorecards — tap a player's name to see their hole-by-hole scores.
  • Event details — the event name, course, and format.

Spectators do not need a Golfify account or the app installed. The link opens in any web browser on any device.

What spectators can't see​

  • The tee sheet and grouping details
  • The event feed or chat
  • Host controls or event settings
  • Player contact information

How it works​

The public leaderboard link is generated when you create your event. It stays active as long as the event exists — before, during, and after the round. Spectators see the same leaderboard data that players see in the app, with the same real-time updates.

The link is public, meaning anyone with the URL can view it. If you want to limit who sees your leaderboard, share the link selectively rather than posting it publicly.

Use with TV Leaderboards

Frequently Asked Questions​

Do spectators need the Golfify app?

No. The public leaderboard link opens in any web browser. Spectators don't need to download anything or create an account.

Can I turn off public access?

The leaderboard link is always available once the event is created, but it's only visible to people you share it with. If you don't share the link, no one outside the event will find it.

Does the link work after the event ends?

Yes. The leaderboard link continues to work after the event finishes, showing the final results and scorecards.
