Create a Single-Round Event

Setting up a single-round event in Golfify takes just a few minutes. Whether you're running a casual weekend game or a club competition, this guide covers the full creation flow — from choosing your format to activating the event for live scoring.

Start a new event​

  1. From the Home Screen, tap the + button in the bottom-right corner.

  2. Tap Single Round Event.

  3. Choose how you'd like to set up your event:

    • Shortcut Templates — pre-configured formats like Individual Stableford or Team Scramble. Great for getting started quickly.
    • Custom Setup — build your event from scratch with full control over format and scoring.

  4. Fill in your event details:

    • Event Name — give your competition a name.
    • Start Date and Time — when the event begins.
    • Number of Players — how many are playing. Events with 8 or fewer players are free with all features unlocked.

  5. Select your Facility and Course. Search for your club from the available list.

  6. Tap Create. Your event is now set up and ready to configure.

Review your game settings​

After creating your event, you can review and adjust your game settings before activating.

  1. Tap the gear icon to open the Host Menu.

  2. Tap Event Settings.

  3. From the Event Settings screen, you can configure:

    • Round Information — event name, date, and time.
    • Capacity & Tee Sheet — max players and tee sheet options.
    • Registration & Payments — entry settings and fees.
    • Facility, Course, Tees & Holes — course selection and hole configuration.
    • Format & Scoring — competition format, scoring method, and team settings.
    • Handicaps — handicap mode and allowances.
    • Flights / Divisions — split players by handicap or category.
    • Special Contests — optional side games like Longest Drive or Closest to the Pin.

If you used a Shortcut Template, your format and scoring are already configured. You only need to adjust settings if you want to customise further.

Activate your event​

Once your settings are in place and you've added players, you're ready to go live.

  1. Go to the HOME tab of your event.

  2. Tap Activate on the Event Status card.

  3. Confirm by tapping Activate in the dialog.

Once activated, the event is live. Players who have been added will see it on their Home Screen in the Golfify app, and scoring can begin.

How it works​

After activation, players open the event, find their group on the tee sheet, and start entering scores on the Scorecard. The Leaderboard updates in real time as scores come in. You don't need to do anything else during the round — Golfify handles the rest.

When the round is finished, tap End Competition from the HOME tab to finalise results.

Game settings like Format & Scoring and Facility, Course, Tees & Holes cannot be changed after the event is activated. Make sure everything is configured correctly before you tap Activate.
