Add a Player Cut

Running a multi-round event and want to trim the field after an early round? Adding a player cut lets you set a cutline score — players who don't make the cut are moved to the bottom of the leaderboard, just like in a professional tournament.

Before you begin

Player cuts are only available in multi-round events. Make sure you've already created a multi-round event and have scores entered for the round where you want to apply the cut.

Here's a quick overview of how to apply a player cut in Golfify.

Set Up a Player Cut​

  1. From your multi-round event, tap the gear icon to open the Host Menu.

  2. Tap Player Manager, then tap the TEE SHEET tab.

  3. Select the round where you want to apply the cut (e.g. Round 2).

  4. Tap Cut Players at the top of the Tee Sheet.

  5. Set the cutline score (e.g. 8 over par).

  6. Tap Apply Cut to confirm.

How It Works​

Once you apply a cut, players who don't meet the cutline are moved to the bottom of the leaderboard. They remain in the event and can continue scoring if they wish, but they're clearly separated from the players who made the cut.

The leaderboard updates immediately to reflect the cut.

Review the leaderboard before applying the cut to make sure the cutline score is appropriate. You can check current standings on the LEADERBOARD tab before going to the Tee Sheet.

Applying a cut is a significant action. Double-check the cutline score before tapping Apply Cut — players who are cut will be moved to the bottom of the leaderboard.
